A bit about the humans that make up Four Feathers Farm

Jeff and Jane met in 1986 in Rockford, Illinois where they were both members of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp - a nationally ranked music organization.  Jeff was attending Illinois State University and Jane was at the University of Missouri - Columbia.  Jeff completed his Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1988 and Jane completed her Bachelor's in Music Education in 1989.  They were married in 1989 and moved to Chicago, Illinois where Jeff was attending Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and Jane was working on her Master's in Percussion Performance at DePaul University.  They moved to Grand Rapids, MI in 1992 where Jeff did his internship and residency at Metropolitan Hospital and Jane started playing percussion professionally.  Jeff started practicing Family Medicine in 1995 and they welcomed their only child Eric in 1996.

Horses had always been a big part of Jane's life having shown Thoroughbreds in the hunter/jumper ring for many years.  After losing her beloved show horse Rocky, Stella, a retired carriage horse, came into her life and draft horses became a passion.  Having grown up in St. Louis, Missouri, Clydesdales had always been a fascination but Jane never thought she'd be lucky enough to have one.  Stella changed that and the dream of having a draft horse farm started to take shape.

Jeff and Jane were lucky enough to acquire 10 acres next door to where Jane was boarding Stella and Sophie, her first registered Clydesdale.  Four Feathers Farm was born in 2011 and has evolved into a little slice of draft horse heaven with a custom Morton barn and very unique Morton house.  Eric is now attending the University of Missouri - Columbia and comes home over holiday breaks to help around the farm.  Eric is working on a degree in Health and Fitness and is an avid body builder.

Update with Eric: Eric joined the Army in 2019 and served as a Specialist in Geospatial Intelligence. He was stationed in Germany and has just returned to the States. He is working in North Carolina out of Fort Bragg as a Senior FMV (Full Motion Video) Analyst. Eric and Liz Lehinger (soon to be Williamson) will be married on August, 16, 2023 so we will be adding a daughter to our family. Liz is a Specialist in the Army as a Radiology Tech.
